• My Christmas Wrapping – BLOGMAS DAY 17

Hello everyone! Happy day 17 of Blogmas. Every year one of the most exciting parts is the wrapping for me, I get so stoked and usually spend a stupid amount on the wrapping. This year I kinda did the same…but you know, shopping so much at Paperchase through the year means I get vouchers and points on my Paperchase card so it all works out just fine!  Usually I go for a classic brown paper but this year I purchased the ‘White tree on Kraft Roll’ and ‘Astro Christmas Roll’ from Paperchase to just make it a little bit different, but not too drastic!  Half the time I do wonder if anyone…

  • Favourites from 2018 – BLOGMAS DAY 14 –

Hey everyone! Well and truly smashing this Blogmas thing and we are 2 weeks in, amazing! I never thought I’d be able to do it but here I am… In todays post let’s break down some of my favourite things from this year, from movies to music, you know…the usual.  FAVOURITE MOVIE  photo credit 5 words people, CALL ME BY YOUR NAME. This absolutely heart wrenching, beautiful, picturesque film shaped my year I’m telling you. I watched this earlier in the year and the proceeded to watch it about 12 times after that, usually like every Saturday when I was bored.  If you haven’t seen this film I want you to close this blog right now,…

  • Letter To Myself This Year – BLOGMAS DAY 13

Happy Blogmas day 13 everyone! I’m just going to jump straight into this one…  Dear 2018 Shannon, What a year it has been. Isn’t that the most cliché thing that could ever be said at the end of any year? I mean, it’s fucking true though. The ups and downs have been real.  Amazing ups and terribly low, lows. The ups were more often than last year, that was great. We went on loads of lovely holidays, had almost anxiety free holidays (AMAZING!) saw bands we’ve loved for years and enjoyed ourselves on days when there wasn’t even much to do. The lows were rubbish, mental health issues were still at an…

  • What am I grateful for? – BLOGMAS DAY 11

Hey everyone!  I always speak about how important gratitude is to me and especially at this time of year, you reflect on what has happened and how you’ve managed to get through things. For that, I show gratitude.  In life I am grateful for many things, here are just a few:  FAMILY  In what has been a hard year for my family, they’ve still all been there at the hardest time and as a family we have managed to get through everything together. Love has grown and bad times are replaced with this love and laughs. In the worst of times we build each other up and for that I am forever…

  • Holiday Bucketlist – BLOGMAS DAY 10

Good day everyone! I hope you are having a lovely day. On todays Blogmas post I’ll be highlighting some places I dream of visiting in my lifetime. I’ve always been far more interested in visiting European cities than the wider places on Earth. However, there are a couple that stick out. So in this post there will be a few with a mixture of both.  NEW YORK CITY  photo credit This is my dream and always has been since I was a tiny little human. Luckily I’ve met a boy who also wants to visit, my plan is that this will be our honeymoon destination. No hot, chilled holiday. I want a…

  • Mental Health At Christmas Time – BLOGMAS DAY 9

Hey everyone, I hope you are enjoying blogmas so far!  This post is one usual to my typical blog posts, mental health. Mental health at Christmas time is a tough one, always has been for me anyway. I LOVE Christmas, always have and always will but I also fall into depression and anxiety quite badly around this time of year. I think it’s because my mind does not want me to be happy and enjoy what is happening. What a fucker. It is a tough time of year, and that’s okay! It is okay to not be bouncing off the walls, going out and getting merry because you would rather stay in and chill…

  • Christmas Tag – BLOGMAS DAY 7

Good day everyone! I hope your Blogmas is going well and you’re super stoked for Christmas. I’ve done a Christmas tag that I just found somewhere online, lots of fun and has me thinking so much about Christmas.  1. Use one noise to describe how excited you are for Christmas. RAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHH – Which is the noise that little boy makes it that vine,  I watched that DAILY for a long time.  2. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve? Nuh uh, although Dan and I exchanged Christmas pyjamas on Christmas Eve last year and we are making it our ‘thing’.  3. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?…

  • Welcome to Blogmas! – BLOGMAS DAY 1

Hey everyone!  It’s happening, I haven’t done this since 2014 and I’ve hardly blogged this year at all – silly me. I am here and I am full of Christmas spirit, I’m ready to eat all of the mince pies, watch all of the films and wrap ALL of the presents (Dan cannot wrap presents).  What is in store for Blogmas 2018 I hear you ask? Well I’ve got some fun little gift guides for you, Christmas baking, some takes on Mental Health at Christmas time, a look at the last year and what to look forward to in 2019. 2018 has been a big, fun, strange and scary year so…
